Located at the corner of Channon and Barter Streets in Gympie, Kingston House Impressions is more than just a restaurant; it's a delightful culinary experience waiting to unfold. Nestled within a beautifully restored Queenslander, the ambiance is a harmonious blend of elegance and comfort, inviting guests to step away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The decor captures the heart of Gympie’s charm, making every visit feel like a special occasion.

Kingston House specializes in modern Australian cuisine that showcases fresh, local ingredients. Their lunch specials — offered Wednesday to Friday from 11am to 4pm — are a standout feature, priced at an incredible $32, which includes a beverage of your choice, from house wine to soft drinks. Among the must-try dishes are the slow roasted porterhouse, served with a delectable bacon, mushroom, and rosemary Yorkshire pudding, or the pan-roasted Humpty Doo barramundi, a symphony of flavors with its crunchy potato and leek rosti and velvety garlic cream. For those craving something a bit different, the Cajun chicken served with corn rib salad and heirloom tomatoes is a vibrant, textural delight that awakens the palate.

Patrons frequently rave about the exceptional quality and generous portion sizes, with one customer, Sandy J. Evans, describing her dining experience as “amazing” with “incredible” desserts that cap off a perfect meal. Others, such as Rhondda Harvey, have noted that the lunch specials provide insane value for high-quality food and service. The commitment to guest satisfaction is evident with attentive staff, who go above and beyond to accommodate special requests, as observed by Helen _S_, whose unique cocktail desires were met with enthusiasm.

Every visit to Kingston House Impressions promises exceptional cuisine paired with an atmosphere that feels both sophisticated and welcoming. Whether you’re a local resident or just passing through Gympie, make sure to stop by this culinary gem for an unforgettable meal that will leave you planning your next visit before you even leave.

Excellent ambiance in a beautifully restored Queenslander. Fish of the day, spangled emperor, was aromatic with a yellow curry. Hubby enjoyed his beef cheeks too (though the portion size was smaller than expected). Attentive service was outstanding, with our waitress letting us know they were more than happy to accommodate our unique request for cocktails. The desserts were absolutely delicious!!

The lunch specials r insanely good value given the high quality food, grest service and nice atmosphere. Desserts and cocktails r yummy and high end too. By far the best place to eat in Gympie and hinterland towns by a wide margin.

This place was absolutely delicious. The $32 lunch special is great and I loved the steak so much. Everything about it was delicious, the portion sizes are good and allergy friendly and such a nice space! Will be coming back if passing through gympie again
